Thorpe Bay LTC is a members club situated just off the sea front towards the eastern end of Southend-on-Sea, and is affiliated to the Essex Lawn Tennis Association. The club is a members' club whose affairs are managed and run by elected members working on a voluntary basis through a controlled committee structure. It is one of the largest tennis clubs in the County and as such has been the venue for the Essex County Junior Closed championships for 30+ years 

The club has 16 courts, 4 of which are floodlit and a modern pavilion with changing rooms, licensed bar, function area and catering facilities. There is a thriving and very active membership of around 1000 covering all ages and standards in a variety of membership categories. We provide social and competitive tennis opportunities via tournaments, box leagues and teams in local, county and national leagues covering juniors, seniors & veterans. Through our coaching team and Junior Committee we run a comprehensive junior programme throughout the year.
